Hasbi's Belachan Udang (Fermented Shrimp Paste) is made entirely by a husband & wife team. From harvesting the shrimp, salting, draining and repetitively sun-drying and grinding into a smooth paste which is then dried out again as thin sheets, it is a time-consuming process that takes several days.
